iNetLabo Server Side

iNetLabo Server Side is based on the latest Java Server Side technology.

Java is the technology developed by Sun Microsystems.  Java is a collection of many software technologies, software modules, ideas and products.  Please refer to the web site linked in Links page for more about Java.

Apache is one of HTTP server implementations developed by a group called The Jakarta Project.  Tomcat is the latest extention to the Apache.  You can learn more about Apache and Tomcat at the web site linked in Links page.

What Java and Apache/Tomcat brought us is an ability to write a program file that runs on an HTTP server when a HTTP client, such as an Internet Browser, accesses it.  The result of the program file will appear on the Internet browser as a dynamically generated web page.
Such program file that runs on a server as a result of access from a browser is called JSP (Java Server Pages).

iNetLabo Server Side is a collection of JSP files.  iNetLabo Server Side also includes a few Java Beans that access a back-end database.  The database handles control commands and status data of iNetLabo I/O Boards exchanged over Internet.

We have set up a machine with Apache/Tomcat server and installed iNetLabo Server Side.  We offer to share using this iNetLabo JSP Server with minimum maintenance cost.  We ship iNetLabo Professional with predefined username and password.  You can change your password when you logged in on iNetLabo JSP Server.  Username is valid for 1 year.  You will be notified for renewal when it expired.

iNetLabo JSP Server is available at http://user.iNetLabo.com.  Click the link and enter uername "guest" and leave the password blank for trial. 

User who purchased iNetLabo Enterprise has full access to iNetLabo Server Side so that you can build and host your own JSP Server on your own machine and use it for yourself unlimited, or provide others a service of your Web control application.  
In order to run iNetLabo Server Side, you'll be required to set up a machine with Apache, Tomcat, and back-end database engine such as MySQL.  Development Kit includes some help configuring your own server.
